When did we start to celebrate Mother's Day?
Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there on the internet.
Did you know that Ana Jarvis campaigned to establish a national Mother's Day in 1907? By 1911, Mother's Day was celebrated in almost every state. President Woodrow Wilson, in 1914, made the official announcement proclaiming Mother's Day as a national holiday that was to be held each year on the second Sunday in May.
A poem for MOTHER
M...is for the many things she gave me
O...means only that shes growing old
T...is for the tears she shed to save me
H...is for her heart of purest gold
E...is for her eyes, with love-light shining
R...means right, and right she'll always be
Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER"...a word that means the world to me
